The material used is Eastern White Pine. It is pressure treated using a patented pressure treating process that contains Polyethylene Glycol and borate. All material will be finished with a proprietary finishing system using a formula of synthetic resin polymers fortified with two types of water repellent chemistry. It also has ultraviolet screeners to counteract the effects of the sun. The formula also contains a fungicide and mildecide to prevent hostile biological surface activity.

After
realizing the need in our area for authentic reproductions of
antique beams and siding, a research project was started that
led to the development of our Weathered Touch product line. We
are now able to take new lumber and make it look old. It can be
done in almost any size and any color. The product line includes
authentic looking siding, paneling, and timbers at a fraction
of the cost of genuine antique materials.
